The Tuesday night jazz gigs at the Spotted Dog began in 2011 as the brain child of Mike Fletcher and Miriam Pau, with the intention of hosting a local jam session every week. As the night grew more popular, it quickly developed into a venue in which local bands began to perform regularly.
By 2012, Jazz at the Spotted Dog began gaining a reputation as a great venue for touring bands from across the UK, providing them with the space and audience to perform creative and innovative music. In the summer of 2016, the night was passed on to Sean Gibbs and David Ferris who are continuing to provide Digbeth with the most talented musicians and bands from all over the UK and further afield.
